Who hasn’t got carried away with piecing or quilting to the point where your body begins to ache?  Rose Parr has been quilting for over 30 years so appreciates how we feel the strain on our bodies.  As well as being a quilter, Rose is a qualified and practicing wellness instructor and is trained in ergonomics, older adult fitness and a host of other health related subjects.

Rose’s lecture explores some ergonomic strategies around staying healthy, happy and pain free while cutting, pressing and sewing.  She’ll talk about studio design and set-up, quilting posture and show some stretches designed to be done at your sewing machine.  You’ll also learn how to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome and a host of other tips to help keep you sewing comfortably forever.

Each ticket costs £7 for members and we are now offering non-members tickets at £10.50.  If you would like to book a place on this talk, please make the payment to our account, Quilters Guild of the British Isles Region 7, sort code 40-10-09, account number 91142100.
